Privacy Policy

Who we are

GM Wood Floors LLC (“GM Wood Floors”, “we”, “us”) sands, refinishes, installs and repairs hardwood floors in West Orange, New Jersey, and the towns around it. This policy explains what we collect through this website and through the calls and texts that start here, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• What you send in the estimate form: the service you need, your town or street address, your name, your phone number, any notes, and any photos you add.
• The look you picked in the floor visualizer, if you send it with your request.
• Calls and texts: your number, the time, and what we talked about, so we can follow up.
• Basic visit data: like most websites, our host logs technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser, device type, and the pages you open and when. We don’t use it to figure out who you are.

How we use it

• To answer you, set up a visit, write your estimate, do the work, and follow up on it.
• To text you about your estimate and your job, like scheduling, reminders and updates. See Text messages.
• To keep the records a business has to keep, such as invoices and tax records.
• To keep this website running and secure.

We don’t sell your information, and sending the form doesn’t put you on a mailing list.

Text messages

When you send the estimate form or text us, you agree that GM Wood Floors can call or text you about your estimate and your job, including automated texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help. You can also call 862-444-9719. You don’t have to agree to texts to get an estimate: you can call us instead.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, and the sharing described in this policy never includes them.

Who we share it with

Only with companies that help us run the business, and only so they can do that work for us:

• Our website host, which runs this site and receives the form.
• The customer management and texting software we use to keep track of estimates and send texts.
• Google Fonts, which serves the lettering on this site and sees your IP address when a page loads.
• Our accountant, insurer or lawyer when they need it, and public authorities when the law requires it.

We don’t sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Cookies and your browser

We don’t use advertising cookies or ad trackers. The estimate form saves your answers in your own browser (local storage), so you can pick up where you left off. They are cleared when you send the form or tap Start over. Our host may use cookies or similar tools to run the site, keep it secure and count visits.

Photos you send

Photos you add to the form help us understand your floor and price the job. We don’t post them online or use them in ads without asking you first.

How long we keep it

We keep your request and job records for as long as we need them for your estimate, your job, any follow-up or warranty questions, and the business and tax records we have to keep. Then we delete them.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the information we have about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Call or text 862-444-9719. To stop texts, reply STOP to any message from us.

Security

We limit who can see your information and use established software providers. No website, phone or text system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send anything sensitive, like card numbers, through the form or by text.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
